About Dr. Ayers

Jonathan Ayers, MD, is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist caring for patients at Gago Center for Fertility, with locations in Brighton, Lansing, and Ann Arbor, Michigan. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Ayers is proud to be an integral part of his patients’ journeys toward parenthood.

A University of Michigan graduate, Dr. Ayers completed medical school, his residency, and a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at his alma mater. He later went on to complete a postdoctoral reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Shortly before establishing the University of Michigan IVF Program in 1984, Dr. Ayers served as the Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Michigan. He also became the Residency Program Director OB/GYN St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in 1987, where he served until 1999. Since starting his career, Dr. Ayers has published peer-reviewed work in numerous scientific journals.
